Frequently Asked Questions

What if one of us is deployed or abroad?

As long as both parties can fill out the required documents, we can complete your marriage! By returning the affidavits we provide, signed and notarized, we have the legal authority to complete your marriage with two proxy stand-ins.

Can I submit all of the required paperwork electronically?

Yes! With Montana’s Uniform Electric Transactions Act, electronic signatures are recognized the same as pen and paper signatures. Everything should be sent to us via email.

How long does the process take?

We will physically deliver all of the required documentation to the Lewis and Clark County marriage office the first business day after receiving the paperwork and payment. We immediately send you a photo of the license and place it in the mail the same day. We include priority shipping, but can also overnight it for a fee.

Who qualifies for a double proxy marriage?

If at least one of you is active US military, we can use Montana’s proxy laws to provide you with a fully legal marriage certificate!

“Can we begin the process without paying up front?”

Absolutely! We will assist you with all of the paperwork needed without any financial commitment. Then, once you are ready to have us complete the marriage, you can submit payment and we will proceed to the courthouse to finalize your marriage.
